2nd Annual Chicago Blackhawks FanFest Convention Passes on Sale Now
Only six months away, the 2nd Annual Chicago Blackhawks Fan Convention passes are on sale now. Traditionally Chicago is known for its prideful sports community so it is no surprise that the Blackhawks were the 1st NHL team to have a fanfest of any kind.
Other than the fact that tickets are being sold to the convention, there is no other information available at this time. Be sure to check back to Sports Gatherings and/or subscribe to our RSS feed for updates on autograph signings.
WHEN: Friday, July 17, 2009 – July 19, 2009
WHERE: Hilton Chicago
720 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60605
COST: $55 for the entire weekend
Last year’s notable facts:
- Passes sold out in less than 2 weeks, which means scalper heaven
- Players included: Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Tony Esposito, Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews
Just like the Bears Convention, Cubs Convention, and SoxFest, the Blackhawks Convention will undoubtedly be sold out. Why are they selling passes still half a year away? My theory is that the Blackhawks are currently in 2nd behind the Red Wings and looking like they will make the playoffs. Brilliant marketing if that was their intention.
