Detroit Tigers 2009 Winter Caravan to Precede TigerFest 2009
It has just been announced that the Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan will precede the Tigers version of the fanfest called the TigerFest. Unfortunately the TigerFest is sold out. The 2009 Tigers Winter Caravan will make stops in Michigan and Ohio. No specific player announcements have been made.
The Caravan officially starts on Thursday, January 22 and ends on January 23 with a banquet that will be held on Wednesday, January 21. It has been confirmed that there will not be any autograph signings at the banquet; however, there will be a fan Q&A session with Jim Leyland as the keynote speaker. Tickets to the banquet are still available for $50.00. Notable players scheduled to appear: Marcus Thames, Ryan Raburn, Clete Thomas, and Jeff Larish

If you want to go to a true fan event, I would recommend going to the dinner banquet. TigerFest 2009 is sold out, which means you will have to go on eBay or Craigslist and most likely pay outrageous prices (if my experience with Cubs Convention and SoxFest tickets are any indication). Otherwise, your best bet is to attend the Tigers Winter Caravan and basically hope your players will be there. Tough choice for Tigers fans.
