Dallas Cowboys To Host Farewell FanFest and Memorabilia Sale at Texas Stadium
The Dallas Cowboys will be throwing one last hurrah, officially named the Farewell Fan Fest and Memorabilia Sale at Texas Stadium. Considering the Cowboys have a national audience, we’re surprised they don’t have an annual FanFest like the Bears and Packers, but this is a start and a can’t miss event.
WHEN: Friday, February 20, 2009 – Sunday, February 22, 2009
WHERE: Texas Stadium
2401 East Airport Freeway, Irving, TX 75062
COST: Free admission and Free parking
Highlights of the Cowboys Fan Fest include:
- Autograph signing session
- Sports Memorabilia Sale – lockers, signage, banners, photos, flags, parts of the goal posts, autographed memorabilia
The only players that seem to be confirmed is WR Roy Williams and LB Bradie James; however, considering this is the last event for Texas Stadium with its rich tradition, you can bet on major Cowboys stars to appear.
Hopefully this Fan Fest will be used as a marketing test to see if this type of event is successful. For the sake of Cowboys fans around the nation, the fans deserve an annual fanfest to get together and complain about the Cowboys pathetic efforts in crucial games. Anyway, the memorabilia sale is always a great part of any fan fest and if you look hard enough, you are bound to get plenty of good deals especially game worn items.
