Tampa Bay Rays Fan Fest 2009 Announced
Tampa Bay Rays fans, it’s your turn. The Rays Fan Fest 2009 has been announced and will see the light of day mid February.
WHEN: Saturday, February 14, 2009
WHERE: Tropicana Field
1 Tropicana Drive, St Petersburg, FL 33705
COST: Admission is free, autographs require a $10.00 donation to the Rays Baseball Foundation
Highlights of the fanfest include:
- Autograph session (requires $10 donation)
- Take a picture with the AL Championship trophy – this is always a neat experience whether it’s the AL/NL Championship Trophy or the World Series Trophy
- Interactive activities including wiffle ball HR derby, speed pitch, batting cages
- Clubhouse tours
Official player announcements have not been announced, but you can expect the key players to attend the 2009 fanfest due to their success during the 2008 season. Some names to expect include Scott Kazmir, James Shields, Matt Garza, David Price, Carl Crawford, BJ Upton, newly signed Pat Burrell, AL ROY Evan Longoria, Carlos Pena, Akinori Iwamura, Jason Bartlett, and Dioner Navarro.
