Dallas Mavericks-Denver Nuggets Game 3 Aftermath – Officials Come Clean on Missed Foul Call

Dallas Mavericks logoAccording to the Dallas Mavericks blog, an official statement was just released from the NBA office regarding the missed intentional foul call at the end of the Mavericks-Nuggets game tonight.

“At the end of the Dallas-Denver game this evening, the officials missed an intentional foul commited by Antoine Wright on Carmelo Anthony.”

It’s noble in a sense that you are owning up to your mistake, but somewhere out there Mark Cuban is $hitting up a storm somewhere even more so than he was on national TV.  Is this some sort of play on integrity?  These admitted missed calls on crucial games happen too often around all sports and there needs to be some sort of fine or suspension or something of meaning given to the ref(s) who miss something like this.  Everyone in the basketball community knows that being down 1-2 VS 0-3 in a best of 7 series is a huge difference.  All NBA refs should have used common sense and had their whistle in their mouth knowing that an intentional foul would be coming.  Idiots.
