Just announced by the Minnesota Twins organization, the Twins will be hosting a massive autograph signing session fittingly called the “Minnesota Twins Autograph Party“.  This event is unlike any fanfest or convention in that this autograph party is just that with no Q&A sessions, no typical locker room/dugout tour, or interactive activities.

Minnesota Twins Autograph Signings

WHEN:  Saturday, June 20, 2009 from 11:30 AM – 5:15 PM
WHERE:  Qwest Metrodome Plaza
900 S 5th Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55415
COST:  Free admission, $30 for autograph card ($35 at the door)

We are not sure if this is an annual event, but this is truly a unique event because it is just for autograph signings.  We can imagine long, long lines.  According to the schedule listed below, the event begins at 11:30 with “current Twins” beginning at 12:30.  Take our experience at numerous Cubs Conventions for what you will, but here is our experience and then you can determine how early you need to wait in line.  The Cubs Convention takes place in a hotel and all the autograph signings take place inside the ballroom area (basically a huge room).  People can wait in the lobby and in the doorway leading up to that huge room.  Well, every single year that we’ve gone, people have started waiting in line outside the doors at about 7:00 AM just to get inside the room to wait in line AGAIN.
