Before you discard this autograph signing because of the $125 price tag, Sports Gatherings was able to get clarification on what the ticket includes. After talking to the Special Events Manager, Sports Gatherings has decided that this is a tremendous value.
21 players will be formally inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and will officially be enshrined on this day. All 21 players are scheduled to sign autographs. The $125 ticket includes one autograph per hall of famer per person, so that means you get 21 signatures for $125. You do the math….In addition you are allowed to bring your own items (one item per HOFer), which is the icing on the cake. The Hall of Fame will also have items for purchase, but we highly recommend bringing your own items for the “big names” and purchasing smaller items, such as a 2009 Enshrinement Souvenir Program or an 8×10 photo, at the Hall of Fame.
Now the information you really care about, the list of players scheduled to appear:
- Troy Aikman
- Rod Smith
- Thurman Thomas
- Lou Holtz
- Roger Brown
- Billy Cannon
- Fred Dean
- Jim Dombrowski
- Pat Fitzgerald
- Wilber Marshall
- Rueben Mayes
- Randall McDaniel
- Don McPherson
- Jay Novacek
- Dave Parks
- Ron Simmons
- Arnold Tucker
- John Cooper
- Jim Donnan
If you are still too cheap to realize the value in spending the money for the autograph ticket, here’s some additional info to consider. Here are autograph prices for a show that is taking place the same month in 2009:
Troy Aikman:
- Flats up to & including 11×14: $149
- Mini helmet, football, flats larger than 11×14: $169
- Full size helmet, jersey, number, game used: $179
Thurman Thomas:
- Flats up to & including 11×14: $49
- Mini helmet, football, flats larger than 11×14: $59
- Full size helmet, jersey, number, game used: $69
Even if the 4 most notable names do not show up, it is still an amazing group of athletes who will be signing autographs. It’s not everyday you get a group of hall of famers (pro or college) for one flat fee. The convenience and opportunity alone is worth the price of the autograph ticket.
