The NBA Nation schedule (2nd link above) is below:
July 4 from 1:00 PM – OJ Mayo
July 5 from 1:00 PM – Andre Iguodala
OJ Mayo was the 3rd overall pick in 2008, which many NBA “experts” consider to be one of the best drafts in years. With all the hype surrounding Mayo at USC and leading up to the draft, he performed well as a rookie as runner-up for the NBA Rookie of the Year award. Mayo had impressive numbers as a rookie scoring 18.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg, and 3.2 apg starting in all 82 games.
Andre Iguodala of the 76ers was born in Springfield, Illinois. Iguodala is a well rounded player and one of the most underrated players in the NBA. Last season Iguodala scored 18.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, and 5.3 apg while starting all 82 games for the 2nd straight year. In the playoffs last season, Iguodala performed even better by scoring 21.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg, and 6.7 aspg.
If you aren’t going to The Taste of Chicago for the food or music, go there to get free autographs of 2 superstars in the making in OJ Mayo and Andre Iguodala. I can guarantee you will not have another chance at a free autograph signing for either player anytime soon.
