actually i disagree that his value can't go any higher. if either do well in minor league ball and gets ranked in the top 10 minor league prospects within a couple years, just watch his cards skyrocket even higher. because there is pretty much nothing of strasburg or harper available, just wait until their first auto rcs hits the market. of course, if by that time they don't have outstanding numbers at the low minor league level, it'll be another couple years before they start rebounding, if ever.
matt bush's cards were skyrocketing with all the hype, but plummetted like crazy after his struggles in the minors. mark prior's cards were also skyrocketing the year he got drafted in 2001 and then went even higher during and after his impressive 2003 season. the higher you go up in the system and the more impressive numbers you put up, the value keeps going up and up. however, that is still 2+ years away before we find out if they are both legit. |

wow just off the wire.....
It's looking more and more like Bryce Harper will be eligible for next year's draft and it's looking more and more like the Nationals will again select first. Olney wonders how the Nationals would cope with talks of record-setting deals for two straight years. |

ESPN.com's Jason A. Churchill says Bryce Harper will be the "clear No. 1 talent" if he's eligible for next year's draft, as planned.

The most intriguing name in next year's draft class could be Bryce Harper. Sam Mellinger of the Kansas City Star says Harper should finish high school early if his "dream is to play pro ball, not flirt in homeroom."
