SGF will be holding its first official giveaway.

The basics of the contest:

• Contest ends July 15 at 11:59 PM eastern time.
• SGF will hold a random drawing for all registered members (admin/mods do not count),
• Similar to the NBA lottery, you have multiple ways of earning more tickets to "put into the hat" to increase your chances. So how do you earn more tickets? Well, read on...

Ways to earn more tickets by the July 15 contest deadline:

• 1 ticket: Be a registered member AND have a minimum of 15 posts
• 1-4 additional tickets: so after you make 15 posts you get 1 ticket right? Afterwards, here's the breakdown:
  • 40-59 total posts by July 15 deadline - 1 additional ticket (total of 2)
  • 60-89 total posts by July 15 deadline - 2 additional tickets (total of 3)
  • 90-149 total posts by July 15 deadline - 3 additional tickets (total of 4)
  • 150 and up total posts by July 15 deadline - 4 additional tickets (total of 5)
• 1 ticket: For every referral you bring that registers
  • Go in your USER CONTROL PANEL--> your profile--> your referral link, be sure to use that link you see in the URL to refer members or you will not get credit
• 2 tickets: For every legitimate referral that registers AND qualifies for the minimum of 15 posts by July 15
• 2 tickets: For every confirmed trade agreement made in the trade/sales agreement (both sides must agree). You can trade with admin/mods.
• 5 additional tickets: For every confirmed trade agreement that is completed by the end of the deadline meaning both parties have received their items. You can trade with admin/mods.
• 10 tickets: For every confirmed trade agreement and completed trade that is completed using the Sports Gatherings Transaction Services
• Bonus tickets: on occasion, we will send out a bonus ticket special via email such as post xxx amount by xx/xx date and receive a ticket. In addition bonus tickets will be given out for active participation as well as quality posts.

So after all that, what do you get?
A virtual pat on the back and knowing you are part of a growing community!

And of course, You get prizes!! The more contestants we have the more we will be awarding prizes. We will be awarding 1st, 2nd, or 3rd or winner takes all. The more members that qualify for the drawing, the more it will convince me to spread the prizes similar to a 60/30/10 payout.

Prizes:

• Nice lot of baseball or basketball cards (game used, autographs, inserts) - I want to give options on the sport you want.
• Signed memorabilia where winner(s) will be able to choose. The list of players so far (8x10s while some will be on OMLB): Jerry Azumah, Mark Chumra, Bob Feller, Steve Garvey, Chris Getz, Jim Morrissey, Billy Pierce, Mel Renfro, Mike Squires, Charlie Trippi, and Frank Winters. Others could be added.
• Winner will get a combination of cards AND signed memorabilia. The cards will be grouped by sport where the winner will get to choose which sport. The winner will get to choose a limited amount of signed memorabilia (not all).

For Sunday, 6/14 only, I will be awarding 1 ticket to each registered member if you only make 5 posts by 12:00 midnight EST on Sunday, 06/14 only.

In addition, if you get to 20 TOTAL posts, you get another ticket.

For example, say you currently have 5 posts. You make an additional 5 posts by midnight eastern time on Sunday that gets you to a total of 10 posts. Make 10 more posts to bring your total to 20 and voila, you get 2 tickets to the contest drawing!

Simple right? We'll be having these bonus ticket giveaways throughout the contest so be on the lookout!
