If a guy you knew was having a Draft party would you go?

A guy that I know was trying to get into the NBA. Unfortunately I had to go out of town to settle a family matter, and I didn 't get back until it was too late. However, someone called and asked my dad if he wanted to go with him to the draft party even thought it was pretty obvious he would not get drafted. I really wish he would have went to the party at least to show our appretion for everything we got to do while he was in college. So as expected, he didn't get picked, but I was very mad at my dad for not going to the party to at least show our support. Hopefully he can still make it to the league though. He's playing summer league with the Bulls.

I am in the same boat next year... My buddy plays for AZ State University... he probably wont get drafted but I would definitely go and support him... DRAFTED or not... Cause when they are at spring training or in A BALL playing someone who is coming up... I am after there SIG... And they remember you supported them though it all..

I think it's good etiquette to show support. It shouldn't be a big deal as long as a follow up was sent about why one wasn't able to make the party.
