Alright so here are a few quick details on the past couple weeks.

Drove to St Louis for the MLB all star weekend on Thursday, July 9. Attended the MLB FanFest on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Can't remember how many autographs, but I'd have to guess around a couple dozen or so. Off the top of my head, I got Earl Weaver, Juan Marichal, Bob Feller, Jemile Weeks, Rollie Fingers, Will Clark and a few more HOFers. The lines for the autographs were pretty much what I expected, meaning, I had to wait for about 3 hours for each person. My experience attending the Cubs Convention helped me out as there were a ton of clueless people.

On Sunday, I was excited to attend the Futures Game and the Celebrity Softball game. The Futures Game was delayed for 4+ hours and I waited it out in the stadium...I still can't believe I did that. The idiotic thing about that is tickets are not to be used for re-entry back into the stadium, but apparently, they allowed it because of the rain delay. Of course, I didn't know that...
Futures game was solid, but I could definitely tell it was a minor league game...lots of miscommunication on the field...and fundamental ones at that. The softball game was enjoyable. Nelly was the man and got huge standing ovations.

I ended up getting tickets to the MLB HR derby at the latest minute and set 23rd row along the 3rd base side. Great seats, but I didn't want to pay 500+ per ticket for bleachers and I'm glad I resisted. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The 1st round when Pujols was trying to squeak into the "swing off" and then after he advanced to the 2nd round was unbelievable. The crowd went bonkers and I almost lost my voice along with the great crowd. The end was disappointing and I was dead tired.

I couldn't get tickets to the All Star Game as the cheapest seats were going for 400 a pop. Too much money so I headed home Tuesday to get ready for the FansEdge Show.

I will be at the MLB All Star Game next year when it goes back to my home state of Cali.

I will be in Anaheim in 2010 for the game too....


Then the game is in AZ..... and for sure i will be there...

We will definitely have to meet up. Hopefully by then, we can get a few more members to join us.

Oh and one piece of advice, do not wait until the last minute for HR Derby and All Star Game tickets. This was a harsh lesson I learned thinking I could get it cheaper.

The fanfest tickets should never be paid at face value and the same goes for the Futures/Celebrity Softball Game too.

The old man I know in the Padres org.... is gettin me some 2010 Allstar tickets... HOPEFULLY that is if he doesnt get fired... Ohhh we should rent a beach house....

If he can get some extra tickets, let me know, I'd be interested in buying 2.

My parents live south of Los Angeles so I'll be staying with them. However, a beach house isn't a bad idea....
